For Those Days When You Think You Can’t

For Those Days When You Think You Can’t

This is a message on my heart for those who may be feeling like they are incapable of fulfilling their calling- especially those who have been called to build a business, write a book or share their message.

When you have been divinely anointed and appointed- know that almost immediately, the Enemy will swoop in and do everything in his power to stop you from pursuit and fulfillment of that calling.

On Thoughts & Prayers

On Thoughts & Prayers

In the wake of the tragic loss of life at The Covenant School less than 30 minutes from where I live…I’ve found that writing is the only way I can process it.

The 6 precious souls are now in a place where there is no sorrow or suffering– but the rest of us are here trying to make sense of it all.

How do we move forward in the face of such heavy sorrow, grief and the threat of paralyzing fear?

Worried?

Worried?

As I got in this shower, a WAVE of “to dos” and “what if’s” and “how will we’s?” slammed against me…leaving me feeling suffocated.

My mind swirled with “I don’t know what to do!” and vivid pictures of all of the ways that things could go wrong.

Ever have that kind of morning?!?

The Plans He Has For You

The Plans He Has For You

One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.”

It may surprise you, that this verse is NOT the one I’m talking about today.

The Same God

The Same God

The miracles of the Bible still happen today…and I believe that God uses “signs and wonders” no matter how big or small, to draw His children and unbelievers alike, to Him.

The salt. It can make things taste good. If you put salt in an open wound it stings…a lot. Yet we use it, for its many healing properties.

We, as believers, are called to be the SALT in a wounded world.

That’s a pretty, big directive.

Going Along, To Get Along

Going Along, To Get Along

{Part 2- More Uncomfortable Truths}

Going along to get along” is something that I have done far more often that I care to admit.

It’s one of those tough layers of my approval addiction that I’m still working through.

I have begun to notice how prevalent this is in the Church. Believers want to “lay low” and not ruffle any feathers- lest we “offend” someone.

It’s All The Same Thing, right?!?

It’s All The Same Thing, right?!?

Whoa Nelly, I’m going to tackle a big one over the next couple of posts…

I’m going to address some things that will make people feel uncomfortable.

If I were to make the following statement to you, what would you say?”

Mary, Did You Know?

Mary, Did You Know?

I was recently watching a movie with my daughter when the song “Mary, did you know?” came on.

It hit me hard, the magnitude of Mary’s story and how relevant it is to us.

So, did Mary know?
